Data Analytics and Visualization for Business

SOCIOL 223-01
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday  5:00-7:05pm (ONLINE)
Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience working with data to answer questions that are relevant to your interests or intended career? If so, consider registering for Data Analytics and Visualization for Business (SOCIOL 223) over Summer Term 2. This course will give you experience working directly with data using a variety of tools used in actual business environments for visualizing data (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and querying data (Power Query, beginner SQL). This course is perfect for both students with no experience working with data, as well as more experienced students who want to learn how to apply their existing skills in a business setting.

The course will be taught in a synchronous online setting from 5:00 to 7:05 PM, which makes it perfect for any students taking an internship or with other summer obligations.

If you have questions about the course, feel free to reach out to the instructor David Gonzalez Chavez (david.gonzalezchavez@duke.edu).
