Pamela Zabala has accepted a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Boston University, starting Fall 2024. She received TWO job offers, including her top choice at BU. Pamela is currently a PhD candidate. She is a sociologist of race and ethnicity with a focus on race and racism in transnational contexts. She has a recently published peer-review article in Ethnic and Racial Studies titled "The social aftershocks of a migration crisis: racial threat and racial drift in the Dominican Republic".
Anna Holleman has accepted a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the Department of Sociology at Appalachian State University. Anna recently received her PhD in Sociology from Duke and accepted a position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke’s Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research and the Department of Sociology. Anna’s research agenda broadly focuses on religion, health, and inequality, and her current research examines the health and well-being of religious leaders. She has a couple of recent peer-review articles in the sociology of religion’s top journals.
Aidan Combs has accepted a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the Department of Sociology at Ohio State University. Aidan is currently a PhD candidate (graduating in May). Aidan is a computational social scientist whose work is grounded in social psychology and cultural sociology, broadly speaking. She has numerous peer-review publications, including two recent works in Nature Human Behavior and Nature Scientific Reports.
