"I have had the privileged to stay in field and teach the young sociological minds of today. The lessons and experiences I gained as a major still resonate in my own research and classroom."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Sociology programs? 

"Explore PhD programs, but take your time speaking to current PhD holders about the state of the field."
