Class of 2027
Major in Sociology, Minor in History
Hi! My name is Jacqueline (she/her), and I am from Charlotte, NC. On campus, I am a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, a member of the LDOC Committee, and am involved in Bass Connections. After my time at Duke, I plan to pursue graduate school and a career in academia. Outside of school, I love community organizing, writing, and listening to music.
Favorite Class: My favorite class at Duke is Southern Grotesque (ENG190-FS) with Dr. Taylor Black. I took it during my freshman year as part of my Focus program and fell in love with how it challenged me to think critically about the ways Blackness and other marginalized communities are written in literature.
