Quantitative Analysis of Sociological Data

Introduction to quantitative analysis in sociological research, including principles of research design and the use of empirical evidence, particularly from social surveys. Descriptive and inferential statistics, contingency table analysis, and regression analysis. Emphasis on analysis of data, interpretation and presentation of results. Not open to students who have taken another 100-level (or above) statistics course. Course restricted to first and second Sociology majors. Instructor: Lynch
