"Duke taught me how to think and write which are essential tools no matter your interests. Sociology also provides great context and a framework for understanding the world around you. In short, my Duke Sociology degree has provided me the tools to solve complex problem and build strong relationships in both my personal and professional life."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Sociology programs? 

"Remember that the degree will prepare to tackle anything that comes your way. It teaches you how to think, write and communicate. You will also learn how to understand people and solve complex problems. You will be able use your degree in a myriad of ways to follow your dreams."
