How has being a Sociology graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"Understanding sociology and group behavior has been very useful teaching teenagers who often are highly sensitive to what their peers are doing when making decisions. My Duke degree in general has been a great asset professionally in the field of education and definitely helped me land several competitive teaching positions in Art and Design."
What advice would you give students in Duke's Sociology programs?
"I would advise students to think beyond careers just in the academic field of Sociology to how the content and ideas you are learning could be relevant to other professions."
