SOCIOL 290S: Leveraging Digital Data for Social Science

MTWTH 12:30-1:45 Summer Session 1

Gabriel Varela

A growing part of social life takes place and is recorded online. As a result, questions about how society functions are increasingly answered by analyzing social interactions that take place in these digital settings. This course explores the intersection of social science and data science — computational social science — through a hands-on approach in which students develop their own research projects.
